Judy Prescott’s professional acting career spans more than thirty years in New York and Los Angeles. She has appeared in numerous American television shows, films, and stage productions.

Her television credits include dramatic roles on highly acclaimed shows like Grey’s Anatomy, True Blood, Bones, Six Feet Under, and Judging Amy. She created comedic characters for popular sitcoms like Roseanne, Working Girl, Murphy Brown, and Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Film credits include Say Anything, Islander, Bug, and Hit and Runway.

Judy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Connecticut College, where she studied Shakespearean acting and the Stanislavski method with renowned stage and film actor Morris Carnovsky. Mr. Carnovsky co-founded the groundbreaking Group Theatre in New York City, where he pioneered the “American acting technique” based on the work of Konstantin Stanislavski.

She went on to study Shakespeare with members of the R.S.C. at the University of Warwick in England. She also studied at the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Connecticut. She performed for two seasons with the celebrated Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Judy is a member of the film and television actors’ union, SAG-AFTRA, and the Actors’ Equity Association.
